Setup Instructions

  • The Lure Demonstrator consists of two main components: the Glass Swim Tank and the Control Center, positioned on top of the tank.

  • The Control Center houses the working parts, including the electric motor, rotating arm, and LED light, all accessible by removing the top lid.

  • The fishing lure that you wish to swim (not included) is attached to a length of fishing line. The lure is setup and adjusted from inside the Control Center.

  • The Glass Swim Tank is filled with water, and the lure is suspended from the Control Center above.

  • Using the variable speed control on the Power Adaptor, the rotating arm moves the lure in a natural up-and-down “jigging” action. Since every lure has a unique weight, size, and swimming action, the speed control allows you to fine-tune the motion to get the most realistic possible results.

Components Supplied

  • Glass Swim Tank.

  • Control Center.

  • Power Adaptor with variable speed control.

  • Line Management components:

    • Bobbin with Bobbin Post.

    • Line Stopper Plugs.

    • Lure Snap.

    • Cable Clip.

  • LED Light – re-chargeable with remote control.

  • LED Light - Circular Mounting.

  • Quick Start Guide.

Note: Lures and fishing line are not included.

Step 1 – Prepare the Glass Swim Tank

  • Remove the Swim Tank from packaging and place on a flat, strong, stable surface such as a shop counter or tabletop.

  • Wipe the inside of the tank with a damp soft cloth or paper towel to remove dust before filling.

  • Fill with water up to your desired level. The maximum fill level is even with the bottom edge of the Control Center and equates to 2.5 Gallons (9.5 Liters).
Note: It is not necessary to fill the tank completely; just set the water depth to mimic your specific fishing scenario.

    Safety Tips:

  • A Lure Demonstrator full of water weighs approx. 29 lbs (13 kg). Ensure your surface can support this weight. The tank is made of tough glass but can break if dropped or mishandled.

  • Position it in a safe location to avoid accidents.

Step 2 – Open the Control Center

  • Remove from packaging and place on a flat surface.

  • Open the lid.

  • A = Round hole for LED Light.

  • B = Oval hole for putting lures in-and-out of tank.

  • C = Rotating Arm.

  • D = Center hole for fishing line.

  • E = Motor.

  • F = L-Bracket Guide.

  • G = Power cable.

Step 3 – Install the LED Light

  • Test the LED Light using the included remote control.

  • Remove protective film from the LED Circular Mount.

  • Stick the magnet provided with the LED Light onto the mount, then magnetically attach the LED Light to the Mount.

  • Place the combined LED Light and Mount in the round hole in the Control Center with the light lens facing down towards the water below. The Mount will hold the LED Light it in place and can be easily removed for re-charging.

  • Operate the LED with the remote control to create various visual effects.

  • Remove the light and recharge the battery via the USB cable when needed.

Step 4 – Install the Bobbin

  • Position the Bobbin and Bobbin Post unit over the small hole on the rotating arm.

  • Secure in place with the Bobbin Post pin.

Step 5 - Connect the Power Adaptor

  • Ensure the speed control dial is set to OFF.

  • Connect the Power Adaptor to the Control Center via the jack plug.

  • Plug into an electrical socket.

  • Slowly turn on power and check that the rotating arm is turning.

  • Stick the Cable Clip onto the side of the Swim Tank to help guide the motor cable.

Step 6 - Setup a Lure

Overview: A lure is suspended inside the tank from a fishing line attached to the rotating arm. As the arm rotates, the lure rises and falls in a realistic up-and-down jigging motion.

  • Prepare the line:

    • Cut an approx. 20” (50 cm) length of fishing line of your choice such as mono, fluorocarbon, or braid.

    • Attach the lure to one end using a Lure Snap (for quick lure changes) or simply tie using a preferred fishing knot.

    • Drop the lure down into the tank through the large oval opening.

  • Thread the line through the guides:

    • From under the Control Center, thread the line up through the center hole.

    • Thread it through the lower hole of the L-Bracket, then back out through the upper hole.

  • Secure the end of line to the Bobbin on the rotating arm:

    • Thread the line through the top of one of the outer holes on the Bobbin.

    • Wrap the line once around the spindle of the Bobbin and come back out-and-up the same hole.

    • Lock both lines securely in place using a silicone Line Stopper Plug pushed firmly into the hole.

    • Pull the line in either direction to adjust the length (longer or shorter) to position the lure exactly where you want it in the water column.

    • Trim any excess line off the “tag” end to avoid potential tangles.

Your setup is now complete, and your first lure is ready to swim!

Operating the Lure Demonstrator

  • Use the variable speed control to fine-tune the jigging motion and speed for your specific lure.

  • Adjust the line length to position the lure at the desired depth or/and to create pauses in the action.

  • Experiment with LED light settings to enhance visibility and visual appeal.

  • Note: Each lure will require slightly different adjustments, so take time to optimize speed, depth, and lighting to achieve the most realistic possible presentation.

Maintenance Items

  • Change out the water in the tank as needed to keep it fresh.

  • Clean the glass tank using a mild dish detergent and a soft cloth.

  • Replace the length of fishing line as needed.

Added enhancements

  • To enhance the overall visual effects, you can add a layer of fine gravel, river pebbles, sand or glass pebbles to the bottom of the swim tank.
